Finally End Of 1st Sem!!

Phew! Finally over and done with my sem. Thought ill just rock in college and exams could be the only thing which can be a cause of concern. But as destiny has it exams were the only thing which dint became a cause of concern.

To begin with I became real popular during this sem -may be not for the right reasons – but who doesn’t want to be THE popular guy of his college. Speaking of positives I thought if I manage my temper that will be my biggest positive but seriously big time shockingly I dint find a big difference even though I dint get livid on anyone for 4 whole months. And finally understood the importance of being yourself no matter who doesn’t like you being the way you are, at the end of the day its you- not the people who just bitch about you- who has to like the way you are. I bet know one will understand what I just said!!Li8 le yaar topic change! I forgot I actually found a best buddy and also got closer to already good friends sounds kewl na? Well not quite thanks to my best buddy who just couldn’t tell a small lie I got into a much hyped extremely avoidable snag. Don’t know why these things always happen to me. But the probs is I still don’t know if its solved or not and if it is what the hell is the conclusion. Everybody just has a probs that I started it but no one literally no one tells me what they want me to do!!! Anyways I made quite a few (actually too many) new friends, after all I am popular right!

This pic is a of me hanging out the now nonexistent Yo-Yo gang!

Initially found my classmates to be kewl and fun to spend time with but unfortunately just can’t hangout with my exceptional nerdy classmates!!!

Thankfully other college mates are better!! Fun loving kewl people! Having fun every time i meet them!!

By and large this sem was somewhat ok though it dint live up to my expectations but something is better than nothing!!! Just praying that next sem turns out to be a better one!!

WAT A WAY TO START!!!!!

Started the day on track i.e. going late on the very first day though this time it wasn’t utterly my slip but come on what’s the point being on time like everyone else, style statement is zilch in that!!

Then the classes which were so boring even the lecturer knew no one was listening yet he was continuing his blabbering! It was trouble-free to keep chitchatting and SMSing people though but regrettably we were still inside the classes which made our mood go dreary specially Physics (incidentally that’s my much loved subject) and mechanics, I didn’t find any big difference amid them!

Then our much anticipated ragging session! We surely didn’t know it will initiate in the lunch break and the girls will kick start it! It wasn’t that staid today was fun actually ended with a caveat that the real ragging starts tomorrow guess it will be fun! How can I forget, did a audacious thing today, related to ragging, which was a challenge and I succeeded completely and of course ended up coming late to the next class!

Had so much fun in college today didn’t expect ill hit upon fun loving friends so rapidly, guess I am fluky in that aspect, I actually thought ill just stumble on nerds but I found no one can you believe that no one!

I just loved the college, so easy to bunk so easy to sleep so easy to just be yourself and have fun!! What else do I need! Osmania University simply rocks!!!!

Bellary .....awsome place!!

Visits to stunning places, a tryst with history, iron ore farms, pathetic roads and carom board every night…..dat was my jaunt 2 Bellary in short. Had awesome fun much much more dan I xpected 2 hav with just 4 of us, but it proved 4 was as gud as 40.

Day one started off with a scrumptious breakfast …as if 2 set the tone for da rest of the day which v spent seeing open air mines n some ore blasting………sounds sci-fi…….well ur rong it didn’t look lik 1 at all specially with such a picturesque milieu n a ‘blow u off’ wind …dat was a day 2 remember

…… den next day history was waiting 2 fascinate us……I thought Humpi will b just another boring historical site but dat was by no ways mind-numbing ….fortunately v did take a guide(which I usually don’t) without whom Humpi would hav been borin…..soo much connotation in small carvings

and 5 in 1 sculptors:

n even break dance!!!!
Wow seriously stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just waiting 2 visit dat pace again just 2 show-off my knowledge abt it:P

Day three not as much njoyable as the 2 preceding one’s but was still had way 2 much fun ….Still stuck with historical places v visit so many places don’t even remember all da names of dem

but Badami can never b forgotten; dat was lik a hill n everything there was carved out from a single rock!!!!!! Just couldn’t believe it…….. Travelled almost 600Kms dat day n v were not at all tired ….dat was our energy level dat v brought 2 Bellary which stayed on with us till da end …..

Day four………..bye bye history…….its was tym 2 get into da water …..da hills looked even more stunning while v were boating just inches away from dem n da water looked deep though not clear just added 2 da splendor of the place

…….n den final day spent indoors playing caroms n den packing stuff 2 go back home ….

In squat bellary rocked...or should I put it dis way “v rocked in Bellary”…….dis place would hav been the crème de la crème if not for da nastiest roads possible n da corruption level………but still dis place was awesome!!!!!!!!!

Review of Playing For Pizza-John Grisham

Every once in a while John Grisham makes an exodus from his proverbial genre, and ventures outside into the unknown. Usually helps the readers to think about matters we have not considered before, but when an individual purchases a book for these “matters” and finds just an insinuation of that one is indubitably to be disappointed. “DISAPPOINTING” flawlessly suits as a caption for this book. Too much of portrayal about Italy makes this book seem like an “Italian Travelogue”. Well Mr. Grisham we all know your jaunt to Italy was a good one but I don’t find a reason why there must be a book on that and a bit of a story fitted into it!!

Rick Dockery a third-string quarterback playing for the Cleveland Browns startlingly gets a role to play in the pinnacle game of the season. But with just minutes to go and a 17 point lead, Rick tosses 3 interceptions that result in a defeat. Overnight, he becomes a butt of all the jokes, causes riots, and even pickets at the hospital he ends up in. The Brown without more ado cut him and he is shunned by other NFL teams. He seeks his agent, Arnie’s help who could only find Panthers of Parma interested in Rick. Rick, who doesn’t know a single word in Italian, grudgingly agrees to play for the Panthers who play only for the post game pizza and their love for the game (apart from the Americans in the squadron). The solitary endeavor of the Panthers is to win the Italian Super bowl for the first time but visage a taut competition from ‘Bergamo Lions’ the persistent champions. Rick not only discovers football in Italy but also finds a love that shows him art, history, architecture and life. He loves the foodstuff and hates the cars which are manual and has a gruesome time trying to park them.

Not unpredictably Rick plays splendidly and gets a more productive offer from the Canadian Football League, his ticket home, and a prospect to go back to the NFL. But he gets this just prior to the Italian Super Bowl, he cannot leave the team who were the only ones offering a contract subsequent to the nastiest game of his life so he turns down the offer. As if a real NFL professional will ever do that!!!! They are oodles more not so fascinating stuff happening which makes this book even more dreary.

Different from legal thrillers of John Grisham, Playing For Pizza, unquestionably enthralled every reader who may not even be on familiar terms with anything regarding NFL and American football by the unsurpassed descriptions of the teams and the matches. Thus saves this book from getting a very low rating and ends up getting a fiver.

Review of Ring for Jeeves -P.G. Wodehouse

Sometimes when you read a novel, you want a searing look at the human condition or sprawling epic crossing generations. At other times, you want complete fluff, light entertainment that makes you feel good while offering little real substance. In this field of quirky words, few can outshine P.G. Wodehouse, and seldom is Wodehouse better than when he writes of Bertie Wooster, the dim but well-meaning member of the idle rich, and his omniscient valet Jeeves.

Ring for Jeeves written in the typical P.G. Wodehouse style of “ignoring real life altogether” is the only Jeeves and Wooster tale devoid of Bertie. This third person book tries to be as fine as the usual narrative chic of Bertie but is a far cry from that. Jeeves is momentarily appointed by the ninth Earl of Rowecester, known as Bill. Bill is nearly bankrupt so he tries to gross a better living with his fiancée in the camouflage of a bookie and flees with the funds of a white hunter, Captain Biggar, who wins a ‘double’, to his estate.

He sees a ray of hope when an affluent, twice widowed, beautiful women shows curiosity in purchasing the estate in which “during the summer the river is at the bottom of the garden, and in the winter the garden is at the bottom of the river”. But to Bill’s bolt from the blue the woman secretly admires Captain Biggar and gets him to reside in the estate. He is in a deep hitch and Jeeves in his calm and composite way tries to decipher his tribulations.

This book in many ways is not a very humorous one, clearly hampered by Bertie’s dearth. A pleasant and a fast moving story line more than compensates for Bertie’s absence and thus gets a seven rating which may be not as highly rated as other Wodehouse books but you get your money worth for this book.
